Hi, quilters! This is Marjorie Busby from Blue Feather Quilt Studio. You usually see my finished projects featured on AccuQuilt Live Events, but today, I am going to show you how to make a fun and useful project for summer cookouts! 

Dresser runners are the perfect way to dress up a room for every season and make for a great gift. For Mother's Day, I created a dresser runner with beautiful machine embroidery designs as well as letters to spell "MOM." Every day is Mother's Day, so celebrate a special mother figure in your life all year long with this cute project!

This design was created using the versatile GO! Bird & Birdhouse Die. This die is a lot of fun to applique, can be used in so many different ways, and the available machine embroidery allows for holiday themes, including Halloween, Valentine's Day, and patriotic holidays.

2021 promises new hope for health, happiness, and creativity. Spring is just around the corner and we are all looking forward to being outdoors and enjoying the sunshine. If you’re a gardener and a quilter who enjoys AccuQuilt applique, this project will make you happy. If you haven’t tried AccuQuilt applique, this project is just the right size to give it a spin. This garden apron has six pockets to hold tools and seed packets and any other supplies needed while you work. And it’s so easy to make with just three fat quarters of fabric and the gnome applique die.

You know how much I love yard flags, door banners and wall hangings. These homemade banners are a perfect holiday decoration for a covered porch entry door, an inside door in your home or as a wall hanging.

All the letters are on one die and it is fun and easy to personalize any project in as many ways as you like using words. Just look around and you will see word quilts everywhere and there is no better way to create a word quilt than to use an alphabet die which makes your cuts effortless and accurate.

Hi, Marjorie Busby of Blue Feather Quilt Studio, and I'm excited to show you my latest AccuQuilt machine embroidery project, Beach Party Banners and Garden Flags. This is something that had been floating around in my mind for quite a long time and the new appliqué die, GO! Sea Life Medley (55190), sparked the connection. Who doesn't love a little homemade garden decor?

Today’s tutorial uses the new GO! Carefree Alphabet Lowercase Set (2 die set) #55491 die and the free alphabet machine embroidery designs that can be downloaded from accuquilt.live. This is not your typical pieced or embroidered quilt design and allows one to add their own personal design touch to the project. Besides the lowercase alphabet set, some additional designs were purchased from the accuquilt.live website for the complete wall hanging.

This tutorial will show you how to use the GO! Spring Medley die and the free Spring Medley Embroidery Designs for appliqué to create beautiful embroidered quilt blocks. This quilt is made using the GO! QUBE Mix & Match 10” Block die set and the Uneven Nine Patch Block and the Louisiana Block from the free 72 block brochure from AccuQuilt. A free pattern is available for making the Spring Medley Baby Quilt, so this tutorial will focus on how to stitch the embroidery onto a quilt block.

Welcome to the GO! Bear’s Paw Block on Board^® (BOB^®). I made a variation of the Bear’s Paw block to use as a table runner. While I used red and white, my thoughts were of falling leaves. The single "paw" unit of the bear's paw looks a lot like a maple leaf. 

Welcome to the GO! Big Crazy Quilt-10" Finished Block on Board^® (BOB^®). This BOB is crazy fun and easy. Already I have made three crazy quilts with this die—and I love it. The packaging on the die has some great ideas for Crazy Quilt variations. One of the suggestions is to mix the Crazy Quilt blocks with a pieced quilt block. This die makes a finished 10" quilt square. That means it will work with the GO! Qube Mix & Match 10" Block. With that idea, I made the Crazy Quilt blocks and also made some classic Square in a Square Blocks using a set of RJR Sparkle Fat Quarters. The finished quilt is 40" x 40".

Hi, it's Marjorie and I'm sharing a quilt I made with the GO! QUBE™ Mix & Match 10" Block, the GO! Qube™ 10" Companion Set-Angles and the GO! Qube™ 10" Companion Set-Corners. Adding the Companion Qubes to the Mix & Match Qube creates a wealth of possibilities for quilts and especially for adding pieced borders. The 72 block brochure for the Qube Angles Companion Set and the 72 block brochure for the Qube Corners Set is the perfect starting point. It only takes a block or two from these pattern brochures to create a beautiful quilt. In this post, I will show you how I used a single block from the companion set - angles for the center blocks and added just the Bow Tie from the Corners Qube with a Flying Geese unit to create the pieced border.

The GO! Pineapple Block on Board^® (BOB^®) die makes piecing a pineapple quilt block a breeze with perfectly cut matching pieces. This tutorial shows how to make this six block wall hanging (or table runner if you like) in a simple two color block scheme. Making this wall hanging is a great first step to get your feet wet with this die by making a few blocks. This will only whet your appetite for making a lot more pineapple blocks and quilts in an infinite number of color schemes. All you have to do is search for images of pineapple quilt blocks on the internet to see the wonderful quilts you can make.

These blocks bring a modern look to the traditional quilt block shapes that we all know and love. Turn the blocks in different orientations and you will get even more quilt designs. I warn you, this is addictive!

Qube™ 10" Companion Set–Corners to make a striking 40"x 40" quilt with four blocks and a pieced border. The new AccuQuilt GO! Mix and Match 10" Block is a wonderful addition to any collection because you can easily calculate a quilt size since each block is 10".  The blocks I used are from the 216 Block Brochure located on accuquilt.live allows quilters to choose from an infinite number of designs. Turn the blocks in different orientations and make even more quilt designs. Watch out. The endless design options can be addictive!

Summer is here and that means it’s not too soon to begin getting ready for the holidays. AccuQuilt has just released a new Studio Santa Stocking die for the Studio 2 Fabric Cutter, and I’m in love with it. I have made Christmas stockings in the past, but never have I made Christmas stockings so quickly and easily. These stockings are not only beautiful, they are big enough to actually hold lots of goodies.

Make Sawtooth Stars with Embroidery Machine Hexagons

This quilt was inspired by the Starstruck pattern from the AccuQuilt website with the traditional Sawtooth Star in beautiful bright colors. The Grandmother’s Flower Garden machine embroidery adds another traditional touch to this bright and modern looking quilt. Instructions for the pieced Sawtooth Star block can be found in the AccuQuilt GO! 72 Blocks pattern set. Using the AccuQuilt GO! 12” QUBE to make this block is a breeze. I love that all the shapes are at my fingertips and there’s no searching on my shelves for specific dies. The machine embroidery used is also easy as the stitches are light and the block is stitched in a single thread color, making the hexagon blocks complete in record time. For piecing the stars, a Tonga Treats 6 Pack Happy Hour by Daniela Stout was used and that provided a wonderful selection of colors.

The GO! Carefree Alphabet die and the GO! Carefree Numbers die have become some of my favorites. The first time I used them was for numbers in the Winter Bliss machine embroidery. After that, I created an entire quilt top using the Perfect Placement Carefree Alphabet machine embroidery set method. And in this project, a new method for spacing the letters proportionally is shown on naptime name quilts for my twin grandchildren. The letters are machine embroidered onto separate background fabric blocks. When the embroidery is complete, the blocks are trimmed vertically, stitched together, and then trimmed horizontally to create a proportionally spaced name banner. Combining the Carefree Alphabet die and some simple blocks made with the AccuQuilt GO! Qube Mix & Match 8” Block makes this a perfect project for small quilts like these. 

Making perfect circles couldn’t be easier with the AccuQuilt GO! Circle die and my embroidery machine. Hi, it’s Marjorie Busby from bluefeatherquiltstudio.com, and I’ve been having fun making ISpy quilts with the Circle die, 6” Qube Mix & Match Set, and my embroidery machine.

This throw quilt was created with one very simple block that is found in the GO! Mix & Match 144 Blocks Pattern Brochure on the AccuQuilt website. The name of the block is “Elevate” and the colors used in the fabrics are rich and beautiful. In this tutorial, I will take you through the steps for making the block, stitching it into a throw sized quilt top, and adding a pieced border that makes the block design really pop. The pieced border was added to create a continuation of the block design and a  1-1/2” border was added to frame the quilt. The quilt is made of 8 inch blocks 4 across by 6 down and the finished size is 44 x 60 inches. 

November is here and it’s time to finish some projects for the holidays. This 12 block quilt is a great weekend project—and lots of fun if you would rather stitch than shop over the Thanksgiving holiday. It includes machine embroidery using the seasonal holiday and Christmas dies and also uses the new Angles Qube to create a bow-tie block setting for the machine embroidery.

We all start thinking about Christmas projects in July, and this year is no different. The machine embroidery designs on the Holiday Medley Die are so pretty that I decided to design around that and use other dies too. The log cabin die is a favorite of mine and so is the Signature Block from the GO! Qube Mix and Match and Companion Set. Thinking about those shapes, I used Electric Quilt software to design a quilt. This tutorial is for the quilt shown and is 63 x 76 inches when finished.

It is so much fun to celebrate by sharing picnics and watching fireworks with family and friends. This project is a picnic or table topper quilt that you can make very quickly using the GO! QUBE Mix & Match 6” Block set and the Patriotic Stars Machine Embroidery Set. And the fabric choice is easy because any combination of red, white, and blue works beautifully for July 4. Likewise, if you’re not in the U.S.A., you can use colors to coordinate with a party theme of your choice.

This is a fun tutorial showing you how to use your embroidery machine to “quilt in the hoop”. The quilting is done with your embroidery machine for both appliqué and pieced blocks made with the AccuQuilt GO! Qube Mix and Match 6 inch Block Set. Each block is appliquéd or pieced and then quilted individually. The quilted blocks are joined by sashing strips. The best part is that when the blocks and rows are joined, the quilting is also done and the quilt is finished. 

Trapunto is a traditional type of quilting. This technique adds extra dimension to appliquéd and quilted shapes and is most often used on whole cloth and appliqué quilts. I love the look of trapunto, especially with machine embroidery and will share with you a method I have developed for adding that extra dimension to machine embroidered blocks. The wonderful part of this is that the AccuQuilt GO! Cutter makes this easier than ever to do.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it is always tough to come up with new ideas for a special Valentine for the grand children. In my case, there are nine grand children under the age of ten. A couple of years ago, I created an embroidery set of candy hearts using the AccuQuilt GO! 2-3-4-inch Heart die. These hearts have served me well and have been stitched on quilt blocks and wall hangings as well as using them on mug rugs and zipper pouches. And this year, I came up with another idea—adding candy hearts to the tummy of a little stuffed bear.

And it did take three tries before it worked the way I envisioned. It’s an idea that’s been floating around in my head for a very long time and came from a vacation visit to Waikiki where there were small wall hangings in the elevators of our hotel. Several times a day the wall hangings were changed with a greeting suitable for the time of day.

In North Carolina the days are not cooler yet in mid-September, but with football season in full swing and shorter days, we’re all thinking of cooler weather and dressing up our homes for fall.
