Born in Zambia and educated in South Africa, Sue Spargo draws creative inspiration from the vibrant colors and energy of traditional African designs, as well as the diverse environments she has experienced across England and the United States. Working in rich, saturated palettes, she layers hand dyed wools, fabrics, and stitchery to create contemporary folk-art quilts with embroidery. An international author and teacher, Sue offers workshops, publications, and a curated range of threads, fabrics, and kits through suespargo.com, a family-run business dedicated to supporting makers worldwide.
